Robots are Coming to the Busy Bee Clinic

Tomorrow’s innovators practice imaginative thinking and teamwork. Guided by two or more adult Coaches, FIRST LEGO League* teams (up to 10 members, ages 9-14) research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®, then compete on a table-top playing field.

Apply today to join the Houma’s FIRST LEGO League. This popular program introduces students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface.

*Please note that participation in the FLL is a commitment to a team. Your teammates will count on you to be present at weekly meetings and to actively participate and contribute as you work on different aspects of the FLL challenge. Keep in mind that FLL is more than just playing with LEGOs – it’s about working together to overcome challenges of many different kinds, being open to the ideas of others, and learning together as a team.
